Bryce Harper booed in Phillies debut
If you’re wondering what makes Philadelphia a difficult city to play in, look no further than this.
Bryce Harper received some boos in his Phillies debut after striking out twice in Thursday’s season-opener against the Atlanta Braves.
There were some boos after he struck out with a runner on third in the fourth.
If you had "Under 2.5" on the number of at-bats it would take for Harper to hear any boos in Philly, you win! Bryce strikes out with a runner on third here in the fourth, brining out a handful of jeers. Not many, but not none, either.

There were more boos after Harper struck out an inning later to make him 0-for-3 in the game.
Harper made it 5 innings into the Phillies' season before hearing his first boos at CBP, which come after he strikes out for the second time.

Bryce Harper struck out a second time, and there were boos. Just sayin'. There were boos. #Phillies

Here’s some of the proof:
Harper walked and scored a run later in the game. Luckily the team’s offensive outburst will make the fans feel better all around. If the team is able to win without Harper being a big contributor, they’ll be in great shape, especially since we’re expecting a huge year from him. But this is exactly why Jimmy Rollins made some questionable comments about the fans in the past.
