Bud Black was sporting quite the shiner during the San Diego Padres’ last few games.
A few fans noticed that Black’s right eye was swollen and discolored and they tweeted the photos.

Unsurprisingly, nobody from the media (that we saw) has said anything about why Black has the black eye. Maybe they were too perplexed by the wordplay.
