Report: Cardinals plan to pursue Greg Holland
Greg Holland may soon find himself back in the state of Missouri.
According to Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports on Thursday, the St. Louis Cardinals are planning to pursue the Colorado Rockies closer, who was reported earlier in the day to be declining his player option for next season.
Once #Rockies closer Greg Holland formally declines his player option, the #STLCards plan to pounce as they search for closer

The 31-year-old Holland recorded 41 saves in 45 opportunities for the Rockies this season en route to his third career All-Star selection. As for the Cardinals, they did a lot of closing by committee in 2017, so hopefully they won’t need to browse the market any further now that they have identified a potential target.
