Carlos Carrasco diagnosed with unspecified blood condition
Cleveland Indians pitcher Carlos Carrasco has been placed on the IL after being diagnosed with a blood condition.
In a statement, the team announced that Carrasco is exploring his optimal treatment and recovery options after seeking treatment following several weeks of lethargy. Carrasco will be out indefinitely, though the team expects him to pitch again in 2019.

Carrasco had been having a difficult season by his standards, with a 4.98 ERA in 12 starts. Perhaps this had something to do with why.
It has not been a great year health-wise for Cleveland’s starters, but a blood condition is clearly a serious matter. The hope will be that Carrasco can get back to pitching as soon as possible.
