Watch: Carlos Gomez takes out frustrations on water cooler after striking out
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Carlos Gomez let a water cooler have it in the dugout on Wednesday after striking out.
Gomez struck out in the top of the second inning with two men on and none out against the Miami Marlins. That was apparently very frustrating for him. So frustrating, in fact, that the cooler didn’t stand a chance when he got back to the dugout.

It was made worse by the fact that the batter after Gomez, Willy Adames, hit into an inning-ending double play, and the Rays failed to score at all.
Gomez is hitting under .200 this season. It’s been a frustrating one, and destruction of dugout property is a pretty common way for hitters to take out that frustration.
