Chase Utley may be spending more time in Los Angeles.
FOX MLB insider Ken Rosenthal reports that Utley is close to re-signing with the Dodgers.
The Dodgers traded for the soon-to-be 37-year-old in August and had him on their playoff roster. He experienced a down season, only batting .212 for the season with eight home runs, both career-low marks.
The Dodgers are obviously planning on a rebound season for Utley. If they do sign him, they probably will be out of the running to bring back Howie Kendrick, who started most of the season at second base but is now a free agent.
