Christian Yelich likely to return from back issue Tuesday
Christian Yelich’s back problem appears to be nearing a resolution after a week of rest.
According to Jon Morosi of MLB.com, the Milwaukee Brewers outfielder is likely to return to the lineup on Tuesday having not played since Aug. 5 due to back stiffness.

The Brewers have been understandably careful with Yelich, who remains tied for the league lead with 39 home runs. Yelich, too, had stated he would not play again until he was completely confident that the issue was behind him. It looks like he’s in the clear, and the Brewers will simply hope to avoid any recurring flare-ups as they head down the stretch in search of a playoff spot.
