Seager is already out for the season after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
The 24-year-old won Rookie of the Year in 2016 and made the All-Star team in both of his first two full seasons in the league. He’s a career .302 hitter with an .866 OPS. The Dodgers acquired Manny Machado prior to the trade deadline to fill Seager’s hole at shortstop.
Despite the operations from which he is recovering, Seager is expected to be ready for spring training.
