The Chicago Cubs most definitely are in on the Yu Darvish sweepstakes.
Two Cubs executives flew into Dallas on Monday, and 670 The Score’s Bruce Levine speculated it was to meet with Darvish.
Cubs Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer landed in Dallas this afternoon. Free agent Yu Darvish meeting is likely destination for the two execs.

Fan Rag Sports’ Jon Heyman indeed confirmed that was the reason for the trip. He also says the team is interested in many other pitchers.

The Cubs have a big free agent of their own on the market — Jake Arrieta. They are interested in re-signing him, but the market value for him may prove to be greater than they are willing to spend.
In addition to the Cubs, the Houston Astros and Minnesota Twins are said to have interest in Darvish, while the Dodgers are interested in retaining him as well.
