Royals’ Danny Duffy has funny response to fan’s suggestions for improving his pitching
You can’t say that Danny Duffy doesn’t listen to the people.
The Kansas City Royals lefty, who has been struggling mightily so far this year, received a funny letter from a fan that he shared to Twitter on Friday. In the letter, the fan offered a series of suggestions for how Duffy could potentially improve his pitching, including increasing the downward movement on his fastball and throwing a straighter breaking ball. Duffy zeroed in on one particular suggestion by the fan that he not let his left foot pass his right foot on his follow-through and gave it a try in a number of hilarious images.

Duffy, 29, is having a career-worst season, going 2-6 with a 5.71 ERA and just 54 strikeouts in 12 starts. He recently tore into himself for his “terrible” play, and it sounds like he’s willing to try just about anything to get back on track.
