Dave Stewart not commenting on report of managerial change
Arizona Diamondbacks general manager Dave Stewart is not commenting on reports of a managerial change being imminent.
The chatter about the Diamondbacks firing Chip Hale and replacing him with Triple-A manager Phil Nevin originated from a comment on a blog post on Dodgers Digest. The comment came from the same person who had the news of Zack Greinke signing with the Diamondbacks before anyone else.
On Friday morning, FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal confirmed the report.

The managerial change is not taking place Friday as Nevin is traveling with his Reno Aces to Las Vegas. Monty does say Nevin has been made aware of the talks of him taking over.
