David Price takes shot at Alex Bregman with ‘post that’
David Price and the Boston Red Sox got the last word with the Houston Astros and were happy to let them know it.
Prior to Game 3 of the ALCS, when the series was tied 1-1, Alex Bregman trolled the Red Sox by posting video on Instagram of the Astros belting three home runs off Nathan Eovaldi in June when Eovaldi was with Tampa Bay.
Eovaldi started and got the win in Game 3, going six strong innings for Boston.
Then in the Red Sox’s Game 5-clinching win on Thursday night, Eovaldi went 1.1 innings in relief. He struck out Bregman in the eighth. After Eovaldi punched out Bregman, you could see Price in the dugout say “post that” to mock the Houston third baseman.

Bregman initiated the trash talk, and the Red Sox were happy to finish it. Price also earned the right to speak after pitching six scoreless innings, striking out nine to pick up his first career postseason win as a starter. Boston won both of his starts in the series and took three straight in Houston to end the series.
