Watch: David Wright gets standing ovation from Mets fans
David Wright received a warm reception during his much anticipated return to the New York Mets.
Wright last played in a major league game in May 2016 due to injuries to his back, shoulder, and neck. On Friday, he once again stepped into the batter’s box at Citi Field.
Prior to entering the game as a pinch hitter during the fifth inning, Wright received a standing ovation from the fans.
