Derek Jeter and Minka Kelly have broken up after three years together, People reports. They say that Minka’s rep confirmed the news and that the two are parting amicably. Just Jared, who first reported the news, adds that the two remain friends.

The news comes as somewhat of a surprise given the speculation last year the two might wed. Additionally, Kelly was in the Yankee Stadium luxury box with Jeter’s family to celebrate Derek’s 3,000 hits. That was only six weeks ago. Chances are they were already on shaky ground at that time and didn’t officially split until recently.

Now that we know Jeter is back on the market, the big question becomes whom will he chase after next? The Yankees captain has already dated or been linked to Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Mariah Carey, Jordana Brewster, Vanessa Minnillo, Lara Dutta, Joy Enriquez, Adriana Lima, and Vida Guerra.
