Diamondbacks guard pool to prevent Dodgers from swimming
The Arizona Diamondbacks couldn’t prevent the Los Angeles Dodgers from beating them in the NLDS, but they could prevent a repeat of 2013’s celebration.
The Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks 3-1 in Game 3 of their series Monday to complete the sweep and advance. Four years ago the Dodgers clinched the NL West while playing in Phoenix and celebrated by jumping in the Diamondbacks’ swimming pool in right-center. This time around, Chase Field came prepared.
They had police on horses guarding the pool:

Instead of winning the game, the @Dbacks have COPS ON HORSES guarding their pool so the @Dodgers can’t swim in it after getting swept pic.twitter.com/gv5c4yuwDe

“They may sweep our team, but they can never take our swimming pool!” (Braveheart voice)
