The scoreboard operator at Dodger Stadium apparently hasn’t been keeping up much with the news lately.
During the third inning of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ home game against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday, the scoreboard flashed an unfortunate graphic in error. Braves outfielder Jurickson Profar was mistakenly shown as the current pitcher in the game. Check it out.

Of course, Profar is not a pitcher. Plus, there was a far more glaring problem with that graphic as well — Profar just got suspended for 80 games by Major League Baseball earlier this week for a PED violation. So needless to say, we will not see be seeing Profar in any sort of capacity until at least July.
That was probably just a bad technical glitch since Dodgers pitcher Michael Kopech, who is currently on the injured list, was also shown as the current batter in the game. But that hardly makes Profar’s poorly-timed scoreboard cameo there any less hysterical.
Profar, an All-Star last season who hit .280 with 24 home runs and 85 RBIs in 158 games, was previously a hated foe of the Dodgers as a member of the NL West division rival San Diego Padres. When those two teams met during the playoffs last year, Profar even made sure to clown Dodgers fans during the games held at Dodger Stadium. But even now that Profar is on a different team and is also now suspended for a significant chunk of the new season, the Dodgers faithful still cannot get him out of their sight.
