The 2020 MLB All-Star Game has been canceled, but the league is making things up to the team that was set to host the festivities.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have been awarded the 2022 All-Star Game as a makeup. MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said the league wanted to give the Dodgers the next available game.
Rob Manfred: “Once it became clear we were unable to hold this year’s All-Star festivities, we wanted to award the Dodgers with the next available All-Star Game, which is 2022."

The 2021 All-Star Game is being hosted by the Atlanta Braves on July 13, 2021 at Truist Park, which is why the next one wasn’t available.
There was also a proposal from the MLB Players Association to hold an All-Star Game after the World Series this year, according to Bill Shaikin, but that did not go through.
