LeMahieu, 30, did not receive a qualifying offer from the Colorado Rockies, making him a free agent. He batted .276 with a .749 OPS in 2018. He batted over .300 from 2015-2017, winning the batting title with a .348 average in 2016. LeMahieu is a two-time All-Star and three-time Gold Glove winner.
The Dodgers used several players as second base in 2018, including Logan Forsythe, Chase Utley, Brian Dozier, Enrique Hernandez, Chris Taylor and even Max Muncy. Forsythe was traded to Minnesota for Dozier, who is a free agent, and Utley will be retiring, opening up some space at the position.
