The Los Angeles Dodgers have decided on their five best (available) pitchers.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts revealed to reporters this week what the team’s starting rotation will look like to begin the 2026 campaign. The Dodgers are set to trot out Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, Roki Sasaki, Emmet Sheehan, and Shohei Ohtani as their starting five, per Katie Woo of The Athletic.

Roberts did also mention that lefty reliever Justin Wrobleski could be getting some starts down the stretch as well. However, the Dodgers reportedly plan to use Wrobleski in a piggyback role to start the season (coming in for the day’s starter and pitching multiple innings in relief).

The biggest surprise in that name is probably the righty Sheehan, 26. Sheehan missed all of the 2024 season due to Tommy John surgery and only returned midway through the 2025 season, posting a 2.82 ERA over 12 total starts.

However, the Dodgers are also still dealing with some injuries to the rest of their rotation, most notably to ex-Cy Young winner Blake Snell, who is not expected to debut until late May due to shoulder inflammation. Bobby Miller and Gavin Stone are also among the Dodgers’ starters who are still recovering from long-term injuries of their own.

The back-to-back defending World Series champion Dodgers will begin the regular season on March 26 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. They had some major additions over the course of the offseason, and it looks like their rotation is in a very good place as well (injuries notwithstanding).
