Dombrowski says Red Sox mostly done making moves
There are still plenty of free agents available on the market, but don’t expect the Boston Red Sox to be involved in any of the signings.
Red Sox president Dave Dombrowski said on the Buster Olney podcast released Thursday that he doesn’t expect the team to make another move, though they’re keeping an open mind about their bullpen.
On @Buster_ESPN's podcast today Dombrowski said he doesn't really expect another move, keeps an open mind with the bullpen but it would be along the lines of a big league roster invite and see if they could make the team.

That might put to rest some of the trade rumors that popped up last month. But if this line of thinking sounds familiar, it should.
While teams were making bigger splashes at the trade deadline last year, acquiring players such as Manny Machado, Mike Moustakas, or JA Happ for instance, the Red Sox mostly stood pat and made a smaller addition, like Steve Pearce. Of course, Pearce became a huge factor in their postseason run, while the rest of the team got hot and helped them win the World Series.
Though big moves make the headlines, the success of last year’s team should result in Dombrowski earning the trust of Red Sox fans. If he’s confident about the team, they should be too.
