Dusty Baker: It would take ‘a miracle’ for Stephen Strasburg to pitch in NLCS
The Washington Nationals have to get there first, but if they do make the NLCS, don’t count on seeing Stephen Strasburg there.
According to manager Dusty Baker, Strasburg will not pitch in the NLCS should the Nationals advance, saying it would take “a miracle” to have him ready by then.
No suspense here, but Dusty Baker says Stephen Strasbourg will not be available should Nationals advance to NLCS.

It’s unclear how much progress, if any, Strasburg has made. There was never much of a timetable for his return, and the Nationals have been taking it series-by-series. The problem is that they’re running out of series, and it seems increasingly unlikely that we’ll see Strasburg again in 2016. Even if we do, it might have to be out of the bullpen.
