Bryce Harper’s pool of suitors appears to be growing, though perhaps not in the way he’d like it to.
According to Jon Heyman of Fancred, eight teams have checked in on Harper, but several of them are interested in a more short-term commitment instead of a long-term deal.

One of those teams is definitely the Philadelphia Phillies, while the San Diego Padres and Chicago White Sox are believed to be others.
Harper is almost certainly more inclined to find a long-term landing spot than a short-term option, as several of these teams reportedly prefer. The security would be better for him and more in line with what he was originally seeking when he hit the market.
