The Kansas City Royals completed their sweep of the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday to win their first playoff series since 1985, and they celebrated by inviting fans to a bar in Kansas City’s Power & Light District.
Eric Hosmer, who delivered a 2-run home run in Game 3 and is batting .500 with a double, triple, two home runs and 5 RBIs in the playoffs, personally invited fans down to the bar:
KC you guys showed us so much love all year were returning the favor for you guys tonight at @McFaddensKC #allonebigfamily see.u all there

And what did Hosmer do for the fans? He provided an open bar for one hour, spending about $20,000 total on drinks for the patrons. TMZ Sports says he ordered Ace of Spades and Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label.
The Royals players at the bar spent time signing autographs and spraying fans with champagne:

It doesn’t get much better than that. The only thing missing was Katy Perry pounding drinks and jumping off table tops like she did in Oxford.
The players know how long the fans have waited and are doing what they can to make it special for them. There really seems to be something special going on with this squad. They’ll meet the Baltimore Orioles in the ALCS.
