Those desperate for live baseball during the coronavirus pandemic are in for something of a treat.

According to Jared Diamond of the Wall Street Journal, ESPN has reached an agreement to broadcast upcoming Korea Baseball Organization games in the United States. The games will be broadcast live, which means they’ll be on during the overnight hours for most American viewers.

ESPN has reached an agreement with the KBO to air games from Korea live. Opening day is tomorrow. More details to come.

The games are being played without fans due to the pandemic, and there are also many rules in place among players and staff to try to prevent the spread of the virus. South Korea appears to have passed its coronavirus peak, and has reported fewer than 15 new cases every day since April 18.

We may see some unusual visuals during these games. However, it’s live sports. For many people, that will be enough.
