Ex-teammates encouraged by visit with Danny Farquhar
A couple of Minnesota Twins players visited ex-teammate Danny Farquhar in the hospital on Friday and were encouraged by their visit.
According to The Athletic’s Dan Hayes, Minnesota Twins players Logan Morrison and Jake Odorizzi spent some time with Farquhar and were “very encouraged” by how things went.
Logan Morrison and Jake Odorizzi visited Danny Farquhar at Rush Hospital for 90 minutes today. Both were very encouraged, talked baseball entire time. Farquhar was in good mood, doesn’t want to be on the 60-day DL.

Morrison and Odorizzi were teammates with Farquhar the last two seasons on the Tampa Bay Rays.
Farquhar was taken to the hospital on April 20 after a blood vessel popped in his brain. He underwent brain surgery and was placed in intensive care. The recovery is expected to take a long period of time for the Chicago White Sox relief pitcher.
In the good news category, Ricky Renteria reported that RHP Danny Farquhar continues to show signs of progress and has even taken a few short walks on the ICU floor at Rush with his wife, Lexie.
