Fan knocks over little kid chasing Kyle Seager grand slam (Video)
The Chicago White Sox and Seattle Mariners played one of the most exciting games of the season on Wednesday night. Chicago won the game thanks to a go-ahead hit from Alejandro De Aza in the 16th inning, but the way the two teams got to 16 was unbelievable.
After the White Sox opened things up to take a 5-1 lead in the 14th inning, Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager tied the game up with a grand slam in the bottom of the frame. It was the first time in MLB history a player hit a game-tying grand slam in extra innings. Unfortunately, it was not the first time a fan has been cruel to a child in pursuit of a souvenir.
As you can see from the video above, some dude trucked a little kid while he was chasing down Seager’s grand slam. I know it had been a long game and everyone wants to bring a ball home, but it wouldn’t hurt to take a peak in front of you before knocking some child over like he’s a bowling pin. Didn’t he learn a lesson from this couple at the Rangers game last year? Bad form.
