Fans hilariously react to Mariners GM Jerry Dipoto saying team will be quiet
Jerry Dipoto has lived up to his “Trader Jerry” nickname in recent weeks as he’s dealt away several of the Seattle Mariners’ best players. In addition to trading James Paxton, Mike Zunino and Alex Colome since the season ended, Dipoto completed two trades this week.
The Mariners traded Edwin Diaz and Robinson Cano to the Mets. They also traded Jean Segura, Juan Nicasio and James Pazos to the Phillies.
Dipoto spoke with the media on Monday about the moves and said something that was met with suspicion from fans.
Dipoto: "I suspect we'll be mostly quiet until we get to the winter meetings."

To be fair, the Winter Meetings do begin in a week, but that’s still plenty of time for Dipoto to do more.
The reaction from fans to Dipoto’s comment was great. Take a look:

Many fans are wondering who Dipoto even has left to trade, but there are plenty of options. Not only can he deal Mike Leake, Kyle Seager, or Dee Gordon, but he can also try to move some of his recently-acquired players, such as Jay Bruce.
No trade is too difficult for Dipoto to make. He’s a master of it.
