Felix Hernandez had a funny exchange with ex-teammate Adrian Beltre after the current Texas Ranger flied out during an at-bat against him on Thursday.
Hernandez threw eight scoreless innings in Seattle’s 5-0 win, and he held Beltre hitless. In the fourth, Beltre sent a ball to deep right-center, but in spacious Safeco Field, it was just a long out. Hernandez appeared to joke with Beltre about the long out and signaled for him to head back to the dugout.
As we have seen many times in the past, Beltre loves to have a good time on the field. That’s part of what makes him so much fun to watch.
