Report: Francisco Liriano dealt to Blue Jays
The Toronto Blue Jays apparently weren’t finished after trading for veteran right-hander Scott Feldman earlier in the day.
According to Robert Murray of FanRag Sports on Monday, the Toronto Blue Jays have acquired lefty Francisco Liriano from the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette adds that righty Drew Hutchinson will be heading to the Pirates as part of the deal.

The 32-year-old Liriano hasn’t looked great in 21 starts for Pittsburgh in 2016. He’s just 6-11 with an ugly 5.46 ERA and a league-leading 69 walks issued. But the two-time Comeback Player of the Year can still miss bats and the Blue Jays rotation has skewed rather righty-heavy this season.
Liriano had drawn interest from the AL East before, and hopefully he can return to form for a 59-46 Blue Jays club knocking on the door of the division lead with less than 60 games left in the regular season.
