George Springer considered day-to-day with back stiffness
George Springer has been one of baseball’s hottest hitters, but the Houston Astros outfielder could be sidelined for a day or two.
Springer left Sunday’s loss against the Boston Red Sox with lower back stiffness, prompting some worry about his health going forward. However, manager A.J. Hinch stated that Springer was only day-to-day and will be held out of Monday’s game.
George Springer is day to day with lower back stiffness, A.J. Hinch said. He will not play tomorrow. Hinch said Springer never got fully loose today and he contemplated taking him out earlier than he did.

Springer is hitting .313 this season. His 17 home runs lead the American League, and he trails only Christian Yelich for league-wide supremacy in that department.
