Report: Giants considering Dodgers staffer for manager

The San Francisco Giants appear to be crossing the picket line of their rivalry with the Los Angeles Dodgers in their search for a new manager.

Craig Mish of FNTSY Sports Radio said this week that Clayton McCullough, a field coordinator for the Dodgers, has emerged as a new candidate for the Giants job, which just opened up after Bruce Bochy’s retirement.

McCullough, 39, has been with the Dodgers since the 2015 season and worked under former Dodgers and current Giants executive Farhan Zaidi. Prior to that, McCullough served in various farm capacities for the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Giants, who finished 77-85 last season, are fielding multiple candidates for the position though, and another used to work for the Dodgers as well.
