Giants move slumping Buster Posey down in lineup
Not even the great Buster Posey is immune from a slump-related demotion.
The San Francisco Giants moved their All-Star catcher down to fifth in the batting order for Friday’s game against the Oakland Athletics.
It's #OrangeFriday and #MadBum day. Nice.

Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area notes that this is the lowest that Posey, who usually bats anywhere from second to fourth in the Giants lineup, has hit since the 2010 season.
While the 31-year-old is still hitting a respectable .282 this season and was just selected to his sixth career All-Star team, he has gone 7-for-32 with a mere two extra base hits since the calendar turned to July.
In the grand scheme of things however, Posey probably doesn’t have much to worry about as the All-Star break nears, especially given this recent report.
