Report: Giants think Bryce Harper likes San Francisco

Bryce Harper

Bryce Harper will be one of the biggest free agents in MLB history this offseason, and he has the potential to change the fate of the lucky franchise that lands him. The San Francisco Giants are expected to be in the mix for him, and they think they may have an advantage.

According to NBC Sports Bay Area’s Alex Pavlovic, the Giants believe that Harper likes San Francisco, which should give them a shot at him.

What makes them think that? There seems to be plenty of evidence on Harper’s social media accounts. Take a look at how many times he’s posted about San Francisco over the years and how much he likes the city.

There does seem to be a lot of evidence confirming their belief.

At the end of the day, Harper will probably sign with the team that offers him the most money. The Giants have a big need for a power bat and star and reportedly will be involved in the bidding, so they will probably be a factor.

Harper’s seeming fondness for the city could put the Giants in a good spot when he’s deciding between teams. He would just need to work out one issue.
