Gio Urshela gave the New York Yankees the lead against the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday with a heck of a slide at home plate.
The Yankees and Jays were tied at two in the bottom of the fifth inning. Urshela was on third with two outs and Marcus Stroman threw a wild pitch. Urshela broke for home and used an incredible hook slide to catch the plate:
How'd you do that, @Urshela10? pic.twitter.com/ZijptgJ4lO

Urshela was initially called out, but the Yankees were given a run and 3-2 lead after a review.
Urshela also knocked in the Yankees’ first two runs with a single in the second. He entered the game batting .298 with an .810 OPS and has been nothing short of a great surprise for the Yankees this season.
