The Houston Astros are confirmed cheaters.
MLB handed out punishment for the Astros on Monday for the team cheating by using technology to steal and relay signs during the 2017 regular and postseason. The team’s scheme included using a camera that sent a signal to a monitor in the clubhouse, and the Astros banging a trash can to communicate to their hitters what type of pitch was coming.
Since then, they’ve been accused of much more.
MLB’s punishments for the Astros included a $5 million fine, the loss of two first and two second-round draft picks, and suspensions to GM Jeff Luhnow and manager A.J. Hinch, who were both later fired by the organization.
But the team’s 2017 World Series still stands despite confirmation they cheated in the postseason.
