Reds prospect Hunter Greene hits 102 MPH multiple times at Futures Game
Cincinnati Reds prospect Hunter Greene brought the heat at the Major League Baseball Futures Game on Sunday.
Greene is known to have a big arm, but he showed just how big it was, hitting 102 MPH on the gun three times while facing the World All-Stars. Perhaps more impressively, the youngsters didn’t seem intimidated.
Reds prospect Hunter Greene comes out 101, 102, 102, 102. And on that last 102, Luis Basabe took him deep to right field. The velocity is awfully impressive. Minor leaguers' ability almost across the board to hit it may be even more so.

Greene is a remarkable athlete. In fact, he didn’t even make his professional debut as a pitcher, but he can still throw like this. It’s a pretty clear indication that he has a very bright future ahead of him.
The 18-year-old still has some work to do. On Sunday, he gave up two hits, walked a batter, and hit another, so it’s a matter of figuring out how to command that heat.
