MRI reveals strained hamstring for Ian Kennedy
The Kansas City Royals are off to a brutal start to the 2017 season, and things appear to only be getting worse.
Ian Kennedy, who has been one of the team’s best pitchers this season, has a strained hamstring and could end up on the DL.

Kennedy entered Thursday’s game against the White Sox with a 2.30 ERA, but that jumped to 3.03 after he allowed four earned runs in 4.1 innings. He also took the loss in the game and is 0-3 despite allowing two runs or fewer in four of his six starts.
Kennedy said he was unsure if he would be able to make his next start, but a stint on the 10-day DL would mean missing two starts.
Kennedy was unsure if he'd be able to pitch in five days. If he goes on 10-day DL, his turn would come up twice before his return date.

KC is 9-18 this season and may be feeling the pressure to try turning things around before things get too out of hand.
