Jack Flaherty had some trash talk for Manny Machado after an at-bat between them in the sixth inning.
The San Diego Padres beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-2 in Game 2 of their NLDS at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. on Sunday. Flaherty, who was the Dodgers’ starter, hit Fernando Tatis Jr. to start the sixth, allowed a bunt single to put runners on first and second, and then was removed after striking out Manny Machado next.
Though he had left the game with two runners on, Flaherty still celebrated his strikeout of Machado with some trash talk.

The two engaged in some talk as the game went to the bottom of the sixth, which put Machado close to the Dodgers’ dugout.

The Padres’ offense hauled off on the Dodgers’ bullpen. They scored six runs over the final two innings on four home runs to even the series at 1-1.
Machado was asked after the game about the situation between him and Flaherty and kept matters professional, saying their exchange was about a competition and what happens between the lines.
