Jake Marisnick suspended two games for collision with Jonathan Lucroy
Jake Marisnick insists he did not intend to injure Los Angeles Angels catcher Jonathan Lucroy when he barreled into him on Sunday night, but Major League Baseball has still decided to suspend him.
MLB announced on Thursday that Marisnick has been suspended two games for the home plate collision. Chief baseball officer Joe Torre said he believes there was no ill intent on the play, but it still violated the rules.

Lucroy was carted off the field and suffered a fractured nose and concussion in the brutal collision, so Marisnick should not be surprised with the disciplinary action. Other players have ripped Marisnick for the play.
