
Pittsburgh Pirates rookie pitcher Jameson Taillon was hit in the head by a line drive during his outing on Tuesday, but he remained in the game.
Taillon was nailed in the back of the head by a line drive from Hernan Perez with one out in the second inning. The batted ball was traveling at 105 mph:
The ball went into left field and allowed Perez to reach via a single. He retired two of the next three batters against the Milwaukee Brewers and remained in the game.
The 24-year-old rookie entered the game with a 3.48 ERA in five starts.
