Jay Z confused David Wells for Curt Schilling, asked him about bloody sock
Jay Z made quite the blunder at the SNL40 afterparty Sunday.
According to former New York Yankees pitcher/current YES Network broadcaster David Cone, the rapper/business mogul confused David Wells for Curt Schilling.
Cone and Wells attended the afterparty and Cone shared the funny story on Twitter Wednesday.
Funniest story of the afterparty was when Jay Z thought @BoomerWells33 was Curt Shilling
and asked him about bloody sock

Wells responded to Cone and said he was “still in shock” over the confusion. At least he kept it humorous:
Even tho he thought I was schilling he's still one cool dude. And schilling must be one good looking dude. (NOT)!!!!!!!!

Wells did note that Jay Z is a Yankees fan and forgave him for making the error. Schilling wasn’t quite as forgiving and instead took the confusion as an insult:
@TylerDNorton @dcone36 @BoomerWells33 Ouch….

Mistakes will happen, but this certainly was embarrassing for HOV who is supposed to be a sports agent now. At least he won’t get fined for this error.
