Marlins Man was the most loyal fan the Miami Marlins had for the past 25 years, and he has officially decided to bail on the team after they would not give him a discount on season tickets. Jenn Sterger, who says she has dealt with the so-called superfan in the past, feels that the franchise is much better off without him.
Sterger, who is now married to minor league baseball player Cody Decker, became a household name when she attended Florida State and cheered on the team in some interesting outfits. She took to Twitter on Thursday to blast Laurence Leavy — aka Marlins Man.
Real fandom isn’t for sale. As someone who has dealt with this guy’s BS & chicanery first hand, even if the Marlins win 30 games it will still be a winning season with him gone. Super fans are just that.. fans. I didn’t think FSU owed me anything. Give me a break. https://t.co/flEra2mjNL

Sterger didn’t specify what personal dealings she has had with Leavy.
Leavy has confirmed that he will not be renewing his Marlins season tickets for the first time since the franchise was founded, and he said at least four other teams have made him better offers. Sterger’s message for him is obviously “good riddance.”
