With their NL West crown and playoff berth already sealed, the Los Angeles Dodgers decided to have some fun in their last game of the regular season on Sunday. Part of that fun was allowing Jimmy Rollins to act as the team’s manager. And boy, did Rollins ever milk it.
The veteran shortstop dressed up in a jersey with Tommy Lasorda’s name on it and stuffed his shirt to give him a belly to match the franchise icon. Then in the fourth inning, Rollins got to make a pitching change and pull Clayton Kershaw after the lefty had recorded over 300 strikeouts for the season.

That wasn’t all he did. Rollins even crashed Don Mattingly’s postgame news conference:

Rollins wasn’t the only Dodger to enjoy a new role. Relief pitcher Kenley Jansen acted as pitching coach briefly and wore a jersey that had “Honeycutt” on the back for pitching coach Rick Honeycutt.
