Joe Mikulik loses it again, punts second base in another epic tirade (Video)
Joe Mikulik, the man, the myth, the legend, has struck again.
The minor league manager famous for his temper tantrums wrote another chapter in his illustrious book of rage on Tuesday night. Mikulik, now managing the Texas Rangers’ AA affiliate, the Frisco RoughRiders, completely lost it after umpires ruled that his team had hit into a double play due to an interference call at second base.
This virtuoso performance included Mikulik mock sliding into second base twice after being ejected, picking up the base and punting it, and kicking away the chalk of the baseline in a fit of rage. He even kicks the rosin bag off the pitcher’s mound.
Where does this rank in the history of Mikulik meltdowns? We’ll let you be the judge of that. He did keep his clothes on this time, and he did recycle the tried-and-true picking up the base move, although the punt is a new one.
