The Atlanta Braves are set to get Josh Donaldson back this weekend.
Donaldson has not played since Monday due to a sore right calf. Manager Brian Snitker said after the team’s 11-2 loss to the Padres on Thursday that Donaldson should be “good to for the weekend.”

The Braves open a 10-game road trip on Friday starting with three games in Miami. Having Donaldson back would be a big help. The third baseman is batting .258 but has an .890 OPS thanks to his 8 doubles, 5 home runs and 21 walks.
Johan Camargo had been filling in at third base for Donaldson and would likely return to a utility role when the former AL MVP is back.
Donaldson is in his first season with the Braves after signing a one-year, $23 million deal with them over the offseason.
