Juan Uribe will manage Dodgers during final regular season game
The Los Angeles Dodgers have wrapped up the NL West. The Colorado Rockies aren’t playing for anything. So, Sunday’s game between the two is meaningless outside of players getting one last chance to add to their season stats.
With both teams largely going through the motions, the Dodgers will take the opportunity to switch things up a bit, and not just with the lineup.
As shared by Pedro Moura of the Orange County Register, Don Mattingly won’t be the man in charge on Sunday. And Rick Honeycutt won’t man his familiar post as pitching coach.
Juan Uribe will manage the Dodgers tomorrow, Don Mattingly said. Kershaw pitching coach.

In case you were thinking that can’t be true.
That last tweet was not a joke, folks.

Having Juan Uribe as the manager can’t be anything less than fantastic. I mean, just look at the above picture, which comes from this video. Then, take a look at Uribe having fun with Yasiel Puig.
We’ll have to see how in-game management goes, but from an entertainment standpoint, you’d have to think something great will happen on Sunday.
