Julian Edelman looked like a natural working out with Red Sox (Video)
Julian Edelman is recovering from offseason foot surgery, but the only thing New England Patriots fans should be concerned about is the star wide receiver deciding to change careers.
Edelman took batting practice and fielded some ground balls with the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday night. Had he been wearing the same warmup gear as the players, you probably wouldn’t have known he wasn’t on the team. The dude hit three bombs over the Green Monster. Check it out:

You have to think Edelman is feeling fully confident that his foot is healed. Watching him jog around the infield taking ground balls was probably an even better sign for Pats fans:

Edelman told reporters he played baseball growing up. Ryan Hannable of WEEI.com asked him what he was thinking about as he looked out at the Monster from home plate.
“Taking it down,” Edelman joked. “I don’t know. It’s all fun. I played baseball growing up and to get to come out to a big league park and see these guys it puts in perspective how good these guys are. These guys are studs.”
Between the fun at Fenway Park and that hilarious photoshop he shared a couple weeks ago, Edelman seems to be in great spirits this offseason. We’re guessing he’ll be ready to go sooner rather than later.
