The Los Angeles Dodgers could be getting back one of their biggest bats next week.
Justin Turner is set to begin a rehab assignment at the team’s High-A affiliate in Rancho Cucamonga on Saturday. According to Pedro Moura, the plan is for Turner to rehab on Saturday and Sunday and then travel with the Dodgers for their trip to Miami.
Justin Turner will play third base for High-A Rancho Cucamonga tomorrow and Sunday. The hope is he’ll then travel with the Dodgers to Miami for the series that begins Tuesday.

Turner has not played this season as he’s been recovering from a broken wrist sustained during spring training after he was hit by a pitch. The third baseman batted .322 with 21 home runs last season and was a star in the postseason.
The Dodgers entered play on Friday 16-21, but their +7 run differential signified they are underperforming. Getting Turner back in the lineup would go a long way towards turning things around.
