Justin Turner had a hilarious line for Dodgers franchise legend Vin Scully on Tuesday.
Scully, who retired after 57 years as a play-by-play announcer for the Dodgers in 2016, returned to Dodger Stadium this week. He was there for the franchise’s unveiling of renovation plans for the field. The plans also call for a Sandy Koufax statue. The team will be adding protective netting throughout the stadium as well.
While at Dodger Stadium for the announcement, Scully spoke with Turner, who told the announcer to “get out of the sun. I’m a ginger too, I know.”

“Ginger” is a slang term for a redhead. The temperatures in Los Angeles were well into the 90s, so Turner’s advice to Scully should have been well received.
