What does Justin Verlander do on his off days when he’s between starts for the Detroit Tigers? He goes shopping for some exercise gear with his girlfriend Kate Upton.
A Twitter user spotted the Tigers ace and supermodel together at a Lululemon store in Birmingham, Mich., which is a suburb of Detroit, and posted a photo of the couple to the social media service on Saturday.

The Tigers were coming off an 11-4 loss the night before and lost 12-3 that day, but they clinched the AL Central with a 3-0 win on Sunday. Verlander won his start on Wednesday and had plenty of time off to spend with his cover girl. He’s actually getting plenty of rest as he’s not scheduled to start again until Game 2 of the ALDS on Friday.
I don’t own any Lululemon gear, but from what I understand it’s just really expensive exercise clothing. It’s desirable either because its prices make it exclusive, or because it’s more comfortable than any other workout/yoga clothes you can find. Or both. Either way, it’s nice to see Justin and Kate spending some quality time together following the nude photo controversy last month.
